The concept of the Flex OV enabled users to travel from busstop to busstop on demand, making travellers less dependent on traditional buslines. Travellers on the same directions were combined in smaller vans to create efficient routes. It is an shared on demand public transport service, not to be confused with a traditional cab service, since travellers only book a seat in a vehicle, not the vehicle itself.
